Hi there! We are Music Box Media. Over the past 3 years, we have been working on multiple high-end indie horror titles on the Roblox platform. Our production environment consists of a robust team of 15+ professional and talented artists.

Because we maintain strict industry standards, the majority of our pre-production and asset work is mostly completed and currently protected under a professional NDA until release. We are now entering the assembly and implementation phase to bring these worlds to life.

The Team

All team members have decades of experience in the TV, Film and Video Games.

Due to the sensitive nature of our unreleased titles, project links and build environments will be shared privately with vetted candidates upon signing an NDA.

About The Job

We are scaling up production for a multi-year development cycle and are looking to fill critical, long-term freelance roles. We require dedicated professionals who thrive in a structured, high-end indie environment.

Available Roles:

Lead Programmers (2 Positions): We require senior developers with 8+ years of professional programming experience (Advanced Lua, modular architecture, optimization, and gameplay frameworks). You will be responsible for bringing our massive backlog of finished assets to life as well as providing frequent updates to fix bugs and optimize gameplay.
UI/UX Artist (1 Position): We require a skilled designer to assemble, scale, and optimize hundreds of pieces of custom, beautiful artwork ensuring flawless functionality across all platforms (PC, Console, Mobile).

Note: Due to our active NDAs, specific game assets cannot be displayed publicly. Our titles feature high-fidelity, atmospheric, colorful indie horror aesthetics, leveraging advanced lighting, studio quality cutscenes featuring iconic characters, voice acting, custom PBR texturing, and deeply immersive environmental storytelling.

Scope of Work & Expectations:

This is a long-term freelance partnership spanning multiple years. We expect consistent communication, clean and well-documented workflows, and a commitment to high-end production.

Payment

We offer professional, competitive freelance hourly rates paid in USD.

Distribution: Payments are disbursed monthly at the end of every single month securely through our official corporate payment portal system with Screenwave Media.
Contract: A formal Independent Contractor Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) are mandatory prior to onboarding to guarantee your hourly terms and protect project IP.
