Reported about 2 years ago
The suspect approached the victim as a modeler offering to complete a reasonably large commission, the victim accepted and they both agreed for a two week deadline and increased funds to account for this, the payment was designated to be in six parts. At the start of the conversation, effort and progress seemed to be relatively positive and quick however after the first payment was sent responses were delayed and evasive; the deadline was soon passed without completion so the funds were halved. After around two months of slow progress with numerous excuses, the suspect and victim engaged in an argument where the suspect sent images of their conversation to public channels to complain about the victim. After the victim saw this, they demanded a refund and stopped accepting further excuses. No prior offenses, the suspect refused to provide the refund when requested by scam investigators.
