Hey! I’m currently developing a 2D asymmetrical horror game on Roblox, and I’m looking for a skilled builder/map designer to help bring the environments to life.
🎮 About the Game
The game is inspired by asymmetrical horror concepts (similar vibe to Forsaken-style gameplay), where players take on different roles with unique mechanics. The overall tone is dark, eerie, and slightly stylized, not overly realistic. It has a unique twist where everything is made out of 2d frames! Giving it a unique and simple vibe.
🧱 What I Need
I’m specifically looking for someone who can design maps that blend both modern and retro Roblox styles. The goal is to create environments that feel:
- Nostalgic (classic Roblox vibe, slightly blocky, simple textures)
- Polished & readable (clean layouts for gameplay clarity)
- Atmospheric (lighting, small details, and mood matter a lot)
🗺️ Map Style Direction
Maps should feel like a mix of:
- Old-school Roblox (2008–2015 aesthetic)
- With modern improvements (better composition, lighting, and detail)
Think:
- Slightly gritty, abandoned environments
- Simple but intentional geometry
- Stylized rather than hyper-detailed
- Gameplay-first design (good flow, balanced spaces)

- Build original maps based on general themes or references I provide
- Work with me to iterate and refine layouts
- Ensure maps are optimized and suitable for gameplay

- Experience with Roblox Studio building
- Ability to replicate both retro and modern styles
- Good understanding of map flow and player movement
- Able to communicate and take feedback.
