I'm looking for a 3D artist who can design and create a large roster of unique bots for my Roblox game, NeuroCore.
The game has a stylised low-poly industrial aesthetic. The bots are the main focus of the game, so I need someone who can both design creatively and produce the finished 3D assets.
What you'll be doing
Designing original bot concepts based on different roles and functions
Creating lots of bots that are visually unique but clearly belong to the same universe Developing a consistent shape language, proportions and visual style Modelling the bots in Blender Keeping models relatively low-poly while still having good visual detail
Rigging bots for animation using a reusable bone-based rig
Texturing/materialising the models while maintaining the stylised look
Designing mechanical parts that make sense for the bot's function
I'm aiming for something cartoony, industrial and mechanical, rather than realistic sci-fi.
Think:
Chunky silhouettes
Simple, readable shapes
Low-poly geometry
Interesting mechanical details
Lots of personality
Strong silhouettes that make each bot recognisable
I don't want every bot to look like the same model with different attachments. Each should have its own identity, while still clearly fitting the same art direction.
I'll provide existing bots/references to establish the visual direction, but I want you to have significant creative freedom with the actual designs.
I'm looking for someone with strong design ability, not just someone who can follow a modelling sheet.
You should be comfortable taking something like:
"Design a heavy mining bot that specialises in extracting dense deposits"
and turning that into an interesting, functional-looking bot design yourself.
Blender Roblox experience is preferred.
