We are looking for a skilled 3D Character / Creature Artist for a semi-realistic fantasy RPG.
We value strong visual work, real-time optimization, reliability, and good communication as our top priority.
Our style is polished semi-realistic fantasy with controlled stylization — believable proportions and materials, strong silhouettes, and good readability without unnecessary cinematic-level detail. Character complexity is roughly around skyrim-level fidelity with cleaner modern execution.
Not cartoony, blocky, or traditionally Roblox-styled.
Paid Trial
Task: 1 Male Orc Base Character
Budget: $200–300 fixed
Timeline: 5–7 working days
Checkpoint: Early modeling review around Day 2–3
We will provide broad visual references, but there is no exact Orc concept to copy. We want to see the artist’s ability to interpret references and create an original character.
Requirements
Full body head/face simple basic clothing
10k–12k triangles preferred, 15k maximum
Clean game-ready topology suitable for later rigging/animation
Clean UVs and PBR textures
1K runtime texture target
Efficient materials/mesh usage
Optimized for real-time gameplay
Editable source file FBX/GLB textures wireframe triangle count
No rigging, animation, weapons, complex armor, or complex hair required.
No AI-generated models/geometry (Meshy, Tripo, etc.). Automatic decimation is also not acceptable as a substitute for proper game-ready topology.
Payment: We do not pay 100% upfront. Partial protected deposits/milestones are fine. Any upfront payment must use buyer-protected methods such as PayPal Goods & Services.
If the trial goes well, there may be ongoing work on additional humanoid characters and fantasy creatures.
To apply: DM your portfolio with examples of finished real-time/game-ready characters or creatures. High-poly sculpts alone are not sufficient.
