I am in need of an experienced scripter to help create a round based survival game. The game, called Ransackers, revolves around a group of robbers stealing items by storing them into a bag and depositing them into deposit zones all the while avoiding being caught by the landlord, who is played by another player.
Key Roles include but not limited to
- Round logic
- Functionality of map elements such as cupboards, doors and breakable windows
- Randomised map rooms (cycle through multiple presets)
- Item pickup and deposit system
- Bag capacity function (debuffs robber depending on how much they are carrying)
- Item physics (able to be clicked and dragged)
- Item restoration if a robber with held items is knocked out or leaves
- Robber ragdoll and revival system (behaves similarly to item pickup)
- Landlord functionality / chase ability
- Datastores for things such as coins, levels, kills, unlocked skins, etc.
- Adding functionality to UI elements such as shop, inventory, index, spectate, progress bar
- Making UI feel responsive
- Skin case opening system
- Gift gamepass system
- Gamepass functionality
- Map voting system
- Daily login rewards
- Global leaderboards
Requirements
- Portfolio / evidence of past work
- Scripter with at least 3 years of experience and extensive knowledge
- Proficiency in English, good communication and consistent updates
- 18
Please ensure that all code is optimised for gameplay, remains appropriately organised and is scalable by design. Also keep in mind that this is a large commission and you will be scripting the entire game.
Please note that a small amount of features such as the robber animations and some UI elements such as the case rolling UI are not completed as they must be created in collaboration with the scripter to ensure that they are suitable to script functionality for.
If interested I will provide a GDD that goes into far more detail about the game.
At this point there is no strict deadline, however the sooner, ensuring no loss in quality, the better.
