JM Development Services is seeking an experienced map designer/builder to design and construct the primary game map for Ant Colony Simulator, a Roblox simulator-style project. The role focuses on creating a cohesive and readable environment that represents an ant colony and its surrounding world, with clear progression and strong visual structure. The developer will be responsible for designing the overall layout of the map, including underground tunnels and chambers, surface-level areas, and distinct zones intended for future gameplay expansion.
All props and assets will be pre-made and provided. The role involves placing and configuring these assets within the designed layout, ensuring the environment feels intentional, immersive, and optimised for multiplayer performance. Lighting and atmosphere should reinforce depth and clarity across both underground and surface areas, while maintaining visual comfort for extended play sessions. Final delivery should include a clean hierarchy, proper collisions, and a polished, game-ready map requiring no additional environment work.
This is a medium to large-scale map with intermediate to advanced complexity. Development is expected to take approximately 1–3 weeks, depending on experience. No scripting is required for this role.
Payment is up to $1,200 USD (or equivalent), depending on quality and experience, with payment made upon completion.
Applicants must be 18 , resident in the United Kingdom (for the purposes of signing contracts), and must send a portfolio in their first message.
