FrameShift is building a Roblox mining progression game focused on ore collection, upgrades, and exploration. We are looking for a 3d Modeler to create a ores, and other various things we ask for.
Responsibilities
• Create mining tools (pickaxes, drills, upgrade variants)
• Model ore assets inspired by real-world minerals and metals (similar in style to Prospecting)
• Create ore progression tiers with clear visual distinction and readability
• Rig tools for animation (swing, drill, equip states)
• Ensure Roblox-ready optimization and clean topology
Requirements
• Experience with 3D modeling (Blender or equivalent)
• Strong rigging experience (required)
• Ability to create animation-ready mechanical assets
• Experience with game-ready optimization
• Understanding of real-world ores, minerals, and material references
• Portfolio required (must include rigging work)
• Must be 18 (contract & NDA requirement)
Process
• Interview portfolio review
• Demo task (rigged tool asset test) to evaluate quality, rigging, optimization, and ability to match the game's art direction
Note: Ore designs should be based on real-life ores and minerals while maintaining a stylized Roblox-friendly appearance. The visual quality and readability should be comparable to the ore presentation seen in Prospecting.
