We are currently looking for a VFX Artist for our Roblox game “Elemental Chaos,” a dark fantasy elemental combat game heavily focused on PvP combat presentation, cinematic abilities, and high-quality visual feedback. We are specifically looking for someone capable of creating polished, optimized, modern combat effects rather than basic particle spam or default Roblox-style visuals.
The project requires a wide range of combat-focused VFX including elemental attacks, hit effects, slash effects, trails, movement effects, aura systems, charge-ups, impact frames, environmental reactions, explosions, battlefield zone effects, projectile visuals, and large-scale ultimate abilities. We also need transformation states, passive aura effects, stance visuals, floating debris systems, energy distortion effects, status/debuff visuals, and cinematic finishing effects. A major focus of the game is making every element feel visually distinct while still maintaining strong combat readability during PvP.
The visual direction leans toward polished anime-inspired combat with darker fantasy styling and cinematic presentation. We want effects that feel high-impact and premium while still being optimized enough for actual gameplay. Readability is extremely important, especially during fast combat and team fights. We are interested in layered effects work, strong timing/syncing, good use of particles, beams, trails, lighting, post-processing, mesh effects, and environmental interaction.
