Looking for a skilled R6 combat animator to fully revamp the animation suite of a stylized Roblox battlegrounds game (in the style of "The Strongest Battlegrounds" and "Jujutsu Shenanigans"). The game features 20 unique themed weapons, each requiring a complete combat moveset and an Awakening transformation system.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Producing roughly 360 R6 KeyframeSequence animations across 20 weapons. Per weapon you'll deliver a full kit of 18 animations:
- Idle (loop) and Block (loop)
- M1 combo: Swing1, Swing2, Swing3, Swing4
- M2 right-click heavy attack with strong windup
- 4 unique skill animations (Skill1–Skill4)
- Awakening Intro (transformation cinematic, 2.5–3s)
- Awakened Idle (loop) replacing the base Idle while powered up
- 4 awakened skill animations replacing the base skills
- Ultimate (cinematic finisher, 3–4s)
Every skill must be UNIQUE — no swing-anim reuse across skills.
You'll also place named KeyframeMarkers on every attack: "Hit" (hitbox active frame), "HitEnd" (hitbox deactivates), and "Cast" (VFX trigger frame for skills). All animations authored at AnimationPriority.Action.
THE TEAM YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll be working alongside a VFX artist and an SFX designer (hired separately) plus the dev (me). I'll provide the rig, weapon meshes, and a per-weapon design doc covering theme + skill behaviors. Smooth coordination — your animation timing drives both VFX cue points and SFX sync points.
SKILLS NEEDED
- Strong R6 combat animation portfolio (sword/melee preferred)
- Comfortable producing transformation/cinematic-tier work (not just basic combos)
- Understands anticipation → strike → recovery framing
- Style range from Demon Slayer flow to JJK punchy frame stops
- KeyframeMarker workflow
TIME EXPECTATION
Fast turnaround prioritized — please state your weekly capacity (anims/week) when applying. Weapons are delivered as full 18-anim kits per batch, so I can review and approve in chunks rather than waiting for all 360.
